This exhibition celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Wells Book Arts Center by featuring the work of all eleven artists who have served as Victor Hammer Fellow. This exhibition brings these artists together for the first time, including work produced during their fellowships as well as from the careers they’ve built since their time at Wells. Established in 1998, the Fellowship provides an opportunity for artists actively working in the book arts to share their practices with Wells College through teaching, working, and collaborating.

Since its founding, the Wells Book Arts Center has become a unique center of production and study in the Book Arts, with highly sought-after facilities and vibrant year-round programming. In addition to integrating into the academic curriculum of the Visual Arts Program, the Book Arts Center collaborates with the Wells College Visiting Writer’s Series, operates the Wells College Press, draws accomplished book art artists to campus through regular workshops, lectures, and the annual Summer Book Arts Institute.
